Andrea Cook - introduction
introduction - Andrea Cook

Andrea Cook is from England where she studied Architecture at the University of Sheffield, and subsequently worked in London in an architect's office. During this period her interest grew in the visual arts.

In her paintings she is inspired by the power of simplicity and the play of colour. Her enjoyment also lies in the discovery of unexpected harmonies with simple materials.

The paper she uses in her collages she makes herself, from waste paper, and also plants including apple, leek, grass, banana, rhubarb...etc. Furthermore she gives courses in the art of papermaking and has written a book accompanying the classes.
